Paul is a partner and head of the divorce & family team. He has over 25 years experience of dealing with the legal issues surrounding relationship breakdown. Paul specialises in divorce, financial provision on divorce, cohabitation agreements and disputes, pre and mid nuptial agreements, pension sharing including division of SASS and SIPP pension schemes and family mediation.
Paul is a member of Resolution and a Resolution trained mediator.

- Negotiating settlement for client involving family company with assets in excess of £50m
- Facilitating early resolution of separation dispute with personal assets of £30m+
- Representing client in relation to division of medical practice and associated personal wealth of more than £10m

Interests
Since joining Wake Smith in the late 1980s Paul has lived in Tideswell in the Peak District. He is married and both children are now away at University. Hoping that this would mean more spare time, he bought a dinghy but he still spends more time underneath it than he should. He is currently involved in helping to set up a village food project (Taste Tideswell) using a £430,000 Lottery grant which is currently being filmed by the BBC . No doubt the scenes of Paul dressed as a Christmas pudding will feature heavily on YouTube.
